SonyCameras.co.uk has a review of the Sony DSC S650 and writes, “The DSC S650 produced quite a strange set of test photos. For once I was more impressed by the indoor shots in poor light than with any of the other test photos I took. My biggest gripe about the outdoor scenic type shots is the focusing. The pictures are simply not as sharp as I like to see. This is not just towards the edges of each shot but even towards the centre I feel the shots could be sharper.

Sony’s DSLR-Alpha 100K–or Alpha 100–is a full-featured, 10.2-megapixel digital SLR with built-in shake reduction technology.
Built with technology acquired from now-defunct Konica/Minolta, Sony’s first digital SLR sports Minolta’s signature Maxxum lens mount (which Sony has renamed “AlphaMount”), making it compatible with a multitude of legacy Minolta lenses. The Sony W200 refuses to back down when it comes to megapixels. You may have thought that 10 megapixels was enough. It’s more than enough, but Sony disagrees, and have crammed an outrageous 12.1 megapixel CCD into the W200. It’s overkill, to be sure, but the numbers game is what draws people’s attention. (more…)

After phenomenal success with the PSP, sales figures of 25 million world-wide in 2006 alone, Sony has confirmed it will be dropping the price of the handheld console (initially in the US)
A saving of roughly $30 (£15) can be expected bringing the average price down to a more accessible $170 (£86) from about $200 (£101) (more…)

Digital Camera Sony
Sony revolutionized the world of ultra-thin digicams with its very popular T series. Although Casio, Nikon, Kodak, Pentax and others try to match them, they always seem to fall a bit short.
